Hi there! I’m Amy Morgan, a Melbourne-based marriage celebrant who loves a laugh and a boogie.
I live in Melbourne’s south east with my partner Andrew, my baby girl Hadley and my giant ball of floof Hagrid.
I’ve never been a traditionalist when it comes to weddings; I think sometimes we can get caught up in the consumerism of it all and forget what it’s all about – a celebration of you and your person.
That’s – in part – what pushed me to become a marriage celebrant. I’m a writer by trade, and I can’t think of a better way to harness my love of writing than by using it to craft the perfect words for real-life love stories.
I offer bespoke ceremonies that are light on outdated traditions, heavy on personal touch; words that capture the essence of you and your love and your lives together, with a sprinkling of comedy for good measure.

About the celebrancy process
Once you and your partner have decided I’m your perfect match, we’ll get the ball rolling!
- I’ll ask you to answer a few short written questions about your love story.
- We’ll meet for a coffee (or a wine, pick your poison!) to discuss your answers and complete some of the legal paperwork. This will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other and ensure we’re all on the same page when it comes to your wedding ceremony.
- I’ll transform your love story into a fun, heartwarming ceremony, capturing all the important bits.
- We’ll have a phone consult to dot the i’s and cross the t’s.
- Then it’s time for a wedding rehearsal, if you want one!
- The wedding day. I’ll say some lovely words, you’ll say some very important words, we’ll all sign some papers and voilá! You’re married!
- While you’re soaking up your newlywed bliss, I’ll notify the state BDM of your marriage and order your official certificates.
- We’ll all live happily ever after!
